One Month Basic Course
Brief Syllabus:
Walking to heel (on & off lead )
Sitting, sitting and staying
Coming when called
Showing control in the presence of dogs and people.
We have found from experience, that the one month basic course is by far the most popular and successful.
Our training is done as far as possible under normal conditions,
i.e, after basic training in an enclosed area, the dog is then if possible
worked in the open, with heel work on and off the lead, sit, stays, recalls etc.
carried out on a walk the same as would be done at home.
The dogs are taught not to chase other animals. It is a normal part of the
training programme for trainers to come into the house for short periods, this
way they are encouraged to keep up the good behaviour inside and out. They are
discouraged from jumping up or behaving badly when visitors arrive.
If a dog were in for full house training, plus the basic course, then it would sleep in the house, and spend more time in during the day than normal.
We advise early bookings for house training, for obvious reasons, we can only have one dog at a time for this type of training to achieve the best possible results.
Although most of our training is done in and around the kennels and surrounding fen land, the dogs are taken for trips into the village or local towns. This way we cover almost every type of situation a dog would normally meet in its home enviroment.
A complete demonstration of the dogs ability is given before it leaves the kennels, and some time is spent in working dog and owner together.
Short Course ( Two Weeks )
Brief Syllabus:
Walking to heel on a
lead
Sitting, sitting and staying
Lead control in the presence of other dogs.
Though not as comprehensive as the One Month Basic Course, we have found that this two week course fulfils a much called for need and is much appreciated by our clients. Instead of merely sending your dog to a boarding kennel whilst you are away on holiday, why not take the advantage of this convenient course and have the added benefit of obedience? We should point out that the longer the course or time spent training, the more proficient the dog will become.
